If you are interested in becoming a member of the DHN select DHN Membership in the menu for the application form.
The Doctor Healer Network exists to encourage the acceptance and use of integrated medicine,
incorporating energy healing as a major component.
The DHN offers information, advice and a forum for discussion for healthcare professionals
who wish to become involved in healing. The DHN further aims to promote understanding
and awareness of healing as a recognised and viable form of complementary therapy,
and to form collaborative links with medical and healthcare professionals and researchers.
Members of the Doctor Healer Network come from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Members include doctors, as well as many other professions active in the healthcare
community such as nurses, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, midwives, medics,
hospital and pharmaceutical workers, academics and GPs, plus complementary
therapists working alongside health professionals.
The Doctor Healer Network
does not directly provide healing services or make recommendations regarding particular
healers or techniques. However, our information page does include links to many leading
organisations teaching and promoting healing within the UK, and any of these organisations
should be able to provide advice and information regarding specific methods and access to individual healers.
The Doctor Healer Network actively promotes research into energy healing and encourages informed
discussion, debate and academic study in this field.
Areas of Activity :-
The Doctor Healer Network’s principal areas of activity currently include :-
- Promoting the awareness of healing as a viable therapy
- Promoting the use of healing with the NHS and PCTs
- Encouraging collaborative links between healers and healthcare professionals
- Research
- Teaching and academic studies
- Work within Primary Care Trusts
- Work within the National Health Service
- Developing an effective source of information and contact for healthcare professionals wishing to expand their knowledge of energy healing
- Offering guidelines for healthcare professionals and healers seeking to establish working relationships

The Info Board contains medical articles, healing articles, etc.
Many DHN members also have personal experiences to share in this regard.
DHN Events :-
The Doctor Healer Network organises an annual general gathering, at which all existing members
are welcome. Much of the DHN’s activity however takes place at grassroots member level
in the daily interactions with healers and healthcare professionals
Additionally, each DHN region organises its own activities. This may include
regular meetings, lectures, guest speakers and so on. For further details
of activities in any particular DHN region, please consult the relevant regional chair,
see Organisatiom Structure for who that is.
